    Apply your references with the selected method.

Set up once

Start with your computer.

Install R, run the Spectreasy installer,
then open your first session.

  1. Install R

    For an Apple Silicon Mac, install R 4.6. On Linux, use R 4.5 or 4.6. If you already have the supported version, continue to step 2.

  2. Install Spectreasy

    Choose the download for your computer. Keep an internet connection while the installer installs the required R packages.

    macOS

    Unzip the download, then double-click Install Spectreasy.command.

    macOS may ask you to confirm before opening the installer.

    Linux

    x86-64 · R 4.5 / 4.6

    Download for Linux

    Extract the download, open a terminal in the extracted folder, and run bash INSTALL_LINUX.sh.

    A compiler and system development packages are required. See the included instructions.

    Windows is not supported yet. These downloads support Apple Silicon Macs and x86-64 Linux computers.

  3. Open your session

    The installer creates a launcher and opens Spectreasy in a new browser tab. For later sessions, use your desktop launcher or open the app here.

Download the launcher for your computer and follow its included instructions. Spectreasy and a supported R version must already be installed.
